In the 17th century, Ontbijtje ('Breakfast Painting'), a type of still life painting was popular in Europe particularly Holland. A table full of fresh fruits, bread, wine and cheese was often portraited in a monochromatic color scheme. Fascinated by this genre and wonder what if this were in an Australian context?
