The Props Dept X Urban Coffee Roaster

One of the missions of The Props Dept is to help reducing waste by offering props rental. We cherish every piece of props and hopefully share them so they can be used again and again.

When it comes to coffee, we share the the same vision with Urban Coffee Roaster, pioneer of Hong Kong speciality coffee.

Urban Coffee Roaster carefully curated coffee beans from Cauca , a region in Colombia for The Props Dept. The producer Diego won a lot of awards such as COE and Land of Diversity in Colombia by creating innovative technologies in order to keep the coffee quality and great new great cup profiles. The beans are processed with a visionary method - Double Anaerobic. Not only does it bring out the flavors of lemongrass, citrus fruit like lime, lemon black tea and candies-like sweetness, but also help increasing the complexity of the profile. Double anaerobic method was invented , in a way, to elevate the flavour of coffee beans that might not make it to the A-list, reducing the waste during production.

All the coffee is packed in drip bags that might possibly be the easiest way to brew a good cup of coffee. Simply tear the bag apart. Hang it on a cup. Pour 200ml of hot water (98°c). Drip whenever the water dries out. About 3 times. Within 3 minutes, a delicious cup of coffee is ready.
